Volunteer Opportunities
We are always in need of new volunteers looking to make a difference in feline lives! Check out the various ways you can lend a hand at Kitty Bungalow:
Charm School Teacher
Become a Kitty Bungalow teacher! This position is for the basic care of cats which includes feeding, cleaning, and socializing the cats on-site at our South LA location.
As a charm school teacher, there is a 2.5 hour commitment once a week and we ask that volunteers commit to a shift. Usually, volunteers work in groups of 3-4, which makes it a great for groups looking to volunteer together! We have volunteers on-site from 9am-8:30pm (Mon-Wed) and 9am-6pm (Thur-Sun).
**Please note, only volunteers 18 years or older can volunteer unaccompanied. If you are a parent/child team, the child has to be under the parents supervision at all times.**
TNR Volunteer
This volunteer position includes assisting with trapping, transport, care of under-socialized cats while they are on-site temporarily, and releasing TNR cats. The majority of the shifts for TNR volunteers are during the week but, flexible shifts are available.
Medical Team Volunteer
As a med team volunteer you will be responsible for assisting in basic and supportive medical care which can include but is not limited to syringe feeding, vaccine fluids, meds (as prescribed by veterinarian), ringworm treatments, etc. There are AM, PM, and mid-day shifts available 7 days a week.
Adoption Counselor
Become an Adoption's Counselor! Multiple options available, such as in-person or virtual counseling from home. Virtual counselors help review applications and conduct phone interviews with potential adopters. In-person counselors help at adoption events, and at our adoption center located in South LA.
Transport
Want to be a taxi driver for our students? Then this is the opportunity for you! We are alwasy looking for volunteers to help us transport students to and from doctor's appointments in Hollywood. *Must have reliable transportation*
